Birds Canada:

The mission of Birds Canada (formerly Bird Studies Canada) is to conserve wild birds through sound science, on-the-ground actions, innovative partnerships, public engagement, and science-based advocacy. Birds Canada is a non-profit, charitable organization built on the enthusiastic contributions of thousands of caring members and volunteer Citizen Scientists. Data collected by Citizen Scientists, alongside targeted research projects, are used to identify significant bird population changes and help direct conservation planning. Our national headquarters is located in Port Rowan, Ontario, connected to the historic Long Point Bird Observatory. Cornell Lab of Ornithology: The Cornell Lab of Ornithology is a nonprofit membership institution that interprets and conserves the earth's biological diversity through research, education, and citizen science focused on birds. Founded in 1915 by pioneering ornithologist Dr. Arthur A. Allen, the Lab continues to build on "Doc" Allen's recognition of the significant contribution that bird watchers can make to ornithology by providing unique opportunities for birders to participate in hands-on science and conservation efforts.

GeoConnections: NatureCounts was created in part with financial support from GeoConnections, a national partnership initiative led by Natural Resources Canada. GeoConnections and its partners are working to enhance the Canadian Geospatial Data Infrastructure, an on-line resource that enables decision-makers to access, combine, and share geographic information over the Internet and gain new insights into social, environmental, and economic issues

Point Reyes Bird Observatory: PRBO Conservation Science is a non profit conservation and education organization dedicated to advancing conservation through bird and ecosystem research. Founded in 1965 as Point Reyes Bird Observatory, PRBO Conservation Science partners with hundreds of governmental and non-governmental agencies as well as private interests to ensure that every dollar invested in conservation yields the most for biodiversity -- benefiting our environment, our economy and our communities.
