Site access:

Access to the data entry section of the Ontario Whip-poor-will Project is restricted to registered participants for the purpose of submitting and accessing their own survey data. There is no cost to participate in the program. The web site also includes a public portion where the general public will be able to access resources and results from the survey.

Data ownership:

Personal information of participants (including address, email and phone number) will not be shared with third parties, and will only be available to Birds Canada, or other partners designated by BSC that are involved in the project coordination (e.g. regional coordinator), and only for project-related communications.

Other:

Unless you indicate otherwise to us in writing, you accept that your name may be included in data summaries, reports or any data product derived from the survey database where appropriate.

Injury Liability:

As a volunteer participant in the Ontario Whip-poor-will Project, you are fully responsible for your own safety, and for your own personal insurance in case of injury. You are not considered an employee of Birds Canada or any of our partners or sponsors. Please exercise great caution and care in the field when collecting data. We are also not responsible for damage incurred to vehicles while conducting surveys.
