This project was designed to understand the distribution of Canada Warbler in eastern Alberta. Sites were selected based on a preliminary model that predicted where the birds would be found based on forest type and age. Our goal was to visit as many aspen dominated stands between 60 and 140 years of age as possible with selection for areas with variable topography. A series of point counts located in one area was done per day (8 to 10 stations). All species were recorded.
