Site access: Access to the Atlantic Canada Bank Swallow Monitoring program data entry site is restricted to registered participants of the Atlantic Canada Bank Swallow Monitoring program for the purpose of submitting and accessing their own survey data. There is no cost to participate in the program. The website also includes a public portion where the general public will be able to access general results from the survey.

Data ownership: Data collected and maps published as part of the Atlantic Canada Bank Swallow Monitoring program remain the property of Birds Canada, the Atlantic Canada Bank Swallow Working Group, and funding partners, and may not be reproduced for publication without the consent of Birds Canada. Data submitted to Atlantic Canada Bank Swallow Monitoring will be reviewed by ornithological experts. Birds Canada reserves the right to include or exclude data submitted to the project.
Personal information of participants (including address, email and phone number) will not be shared with third parties, and will only be available to Birds Canada, or other partners designated by Birds Canada that are involved in the project coordination (e.g. regional coordinator), and only for project-related communications.

Unless you indicate otherwise to us in writing, you accept that your name may be included in data summaries, reports or any data product derived from the survey database where appropriate.
Injury Liability:
As a volunteer participant in Atlantic Canada Bank Swallow Monitoring program, you are fully responsible for your own safety, and for your own personal insurance in case of injury. You are not considered an employee of Birds Canada or any of our partners or sponsors. Please exercise great caution and care in the field when collecting data. We are also not responsible for damage incurred to vehicles while conducting surveys.
